The single most useful thing you can send after a bad drive. It records what the app did — no typed destinations, no precise coordinates.

A wrong-way instruction, a turn that does not exist, a road that should not be routed. We treat these ahead of everything else.

Does Ruto work without a signal?
Yes, and that is the point of it. Before you set off, Ruto saves the roads around your whole route onto your phone. If the signal drops, turn-by-turn keeps going and Ruto reroutes on its own. You will see No signal. Still navigating. while that is happening, and a summary of it when you arrive.
Why does Ruto need my location in the background?
So directions and spoken guidance keep working when your screen is off or you switch to another app. Without background access, guidance stops the moment you leave the app.
The route ignored my vehicle's height or weight.
Vehicle settings are a preference, not a guarantee. Map data on bridge clearances and weight limits is incomplete: a road with no recorded height looks exactly like a road that has never been surveyed. Always read the road sign. It is the authority, not the app.
Can I open a route I planned somewhere else?
Yes. Export a GPX file from Kurviger, Rever, a Garmin or anywhere else, then in Ruto open search and choose Open a GPX route. Ruto matches the line to real roads and gives you proper turn-by-turn along it. You can also export any Ruto route as GPX from the share sheet.
A place I searched for did not come up.
Tell us exactly what you typed and roughly where you were. Search is the part of a navigation app we care most about getting right, and a real example of a miss is the most useful thing you can send us.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone, including your trips and saved places. There is no account to close. See the privacy policy for what reaches our servers and how long it is kept.
Four steps
Sending a drive log
If something went wrong on a drive, this is the single most useful thing you can send. It records what the app did — and it contains no typed destinations and no precise coordinates.
Long-press the version
Press and hold the small version number shown in the app.
Save drive log
Choose Save drive log from the dialog that appears.
Find the file
Files app → Ruto → drive_logs. The newest file is the drive you just made.
Reporting something unsafe
If Ruto ever gives guidance you believe is dangerous — a wrong-way instruction, a turn that does not exist, a road that should not be routed — please tell us straight away and include the drive log. We treat those ahead of everything else.
